A phone video gets lost in a camera roll. A video letter is different: you, on a cinema camera, with a proper microphone, saying the things that deserve to outlast you — to your husband or wife, your kids, your grandkids, the friend who should hear it from you and no one else.

Some people record one message. Some record a series — for a wedding day they might not see, an eighteenth birthday, a first child. You decide what is said, who receives it, and when. We make sure that when it's watched — this year or in thirty — the voice is clear, the light is kind, and it feels like being in the room with you.

A record of who you are — not just what you did

The legacy interview is a filmed conversation about your life: where you come from, what you built, what you believe, what you regret, what you'd do again tomorrow. The questions nobody thinks to ask until they can't.

We structure the interview, keep the cameras quiet, and edit it into a film your family will actually watch — woven with your photographs and the places that matter. For business owners, we do the same for the company: how it really started, told by the person who started it.

The archive promise

Every legacy recording lives twice. You receive full copies of everything — the finished films and the complete master footage — delivered on a drive and by private cloud link, yours from day one.

And the masters also stay in the NVAR archive, on redundant storage, for a minimum of ten years. If your copies are ever lost in a move, a fire, or a failed hard drive, you or the people you designate can request them from us. That's the point of the service: this is the one recording that must not disappear.

Your recordings are private by default. They are never shown publicly, never used in our portfolio, and never released to anyone but you and the people you name in writing.

When the time comes

For families who need us on the other side of it: we photograph and film obituary events — funerals, memorial services, celebrations of life — quietly and respectfully. We dress accordingly, we don't direct a room in grief, and we know which moments to record and which to leave alone.

We also livestream services for family who can't travel, and we build tribute films from the photographs and clips a family already has — including, for our legacy clients, the interview and letters recorded years earlier. That is what this service is really for: the family that recorded the conversation now owns the centerpiece of the goodbye.

The full legacy film — structured interview, photo weaving, edited documentary plus all masters — from $2,500.
