Commercial photography and video for businesses across Nebraska
Most commercial photographers in Nebraska are built around one metro. NVAR Studios is built around the state. We're based in Lincoln — an hour from Omaha, on I-80, and within a day's drive of every town in Nebraska — and we run commercial photo and video shoots for the businesses that don't have a production studio down the street — manufacturers, ag and equipment companies, clinics, professional firms, and hospitality groups — anywhere from Columbus and Norfolk to Kearney and North Platte.
The standard doesn't change with the zip code. Cinema-grade cameras, in-house color grading, a shot list built before we leave Lincoln, and a color-graded gallery (and edited video, if you booked it) delivered within two weeks. The only thing that changes is the drive — and that's quoted in writing before you commit, not discovered on the invoice.
What we shoot for Nebraska businesses
Brand and lifestyle photography — your team, your space, and your product in use, shot for the website, the sales deck, and paid social.
Product photography — catalog, e-commerce, and look-book work, in our Lincoln studio or on your floor.
Industrial, manufacturing, and agricultural photography — production lines, facilities, equipment, fieldwork, and the people who run them, lit properly and shot safely around live operations.
Corporate and healthcare — leadership portraits, facility tours, recruiting imagery, annual-report and press photography.
Hospitality and retail — restaurants, bars, breweries, lounges, and shops that need atmosphere content, not snapshots.
Commercial video — brand films, about-us and recruiting video, facility walkthroughs, event coverage, and the vertical short-form Reels that actually reach people in 2026. Photo and video are shot by the same crew on the same day, so one trip yields both libraries.
Nebraska video production from the same crew
Commercial video is the same trip as the photography: same crew, same production day, same rates, anywhere in the state. We produce brand films for companies whose website still has a stock photo where the story should be, commercial spots for local TV, streaming, and paid social delivered to spec in every length, testimonial and interview video with customers, patients, and employees, recruiting and culture pieces for employers competing for the same workforce as the plant down the highway, product and process video for manufacturers and ag operations, and event coverage cut into a same-week highlight reel. Day rates are the same as photography — half day $600, full production day $1,100 — and the formats we deliver are on the Lincoln video production page.
Published day rates — the same anywhere in Nebraska
Half day: $600 — four hours, one location, 40+ color-graded images, commercial license, two-week delivery.
Full day: $1,100 — eight hours, multiple locations, 100+ images, a pre-production planning call, commercial license, two-week delivery. This is the tier most out-of-town clients book, because it makes the drive worth it.
Multi-day campaign: from $2,500 — two or more shoot days, creative direction and shot list, 200+ images, optional video.
Commercial video follows the same structure: half-day shoots from $600, full production days from $1,100, and monthly content retainers from $1,500/month. Corporate event coverage starts at $500 (two hours). Every package includes a commercial license — advertising, web, print, and marketing use, written in rather than unlocked with a separate fee. The full line-item breakdown is on the Investment page.
Where we travel — and what travel costs
Travel included: Lincoln, the entire Omaha metro (Millard, Papillion, Bellevue, Elkhorn, Gretna), and everywhere within roughly 50 miles of Lincoln — Seward, Crete, Wahoo, Beatrice, and Nebraska City. No mileage fees, no surcharges. It's part of the base price.
Travel quoted per job: everywhere else in Nebraska. York, Fremont, Columbus, Grand Island, Hastings, Kearney, Norfolk, North Platte, Scottsbluff, the Sandhills, and every town between. We quote only the actual costs — mileage, and lodging for multi-day shoots — with no markup, in writing, before you book. For far-west shoots we'll tell you honestly whether one two-day trip makes more sense than two separate ones.
Beyond Nebraska — Iowa, Kansas, South Dakota, Missouri, Colorado — works the same way: you cover travel, it's quoted per job, and the day rates don't change.
How an out-of-town commercial shoot works
1. A free 30-minute planning call. You tell us what the images and video need to do — website, recruiting, trade show, product launch — and where the shoot is. We come back with a scope, a shot list, and a written quote including travel.
2. One consolidated production day. Out-of-town shoots are planned so the drive pays for itself: multiple locations, headshots for the team, the facility, the product, and video b-roll in a single visit rather than four trips. If you need more than a day, we say so up front.
3. Delivery within two weeks. A color-graded gallery organized for your website, sales, and social, and edited video cut to the formats you'll actually publish. Rush delivery is available when there's a launch behind it.
For businesses that need content every month, retainers from $1,500/month work statewide — a scheduled monthly visit that keeps your site, your ads, and your feed current without an in-house team.
Why a Lincoln-based crew instead of flying someone in
Agencies from Kansas City, Denver, or Minneapolis bill for flights, hotels, and a producer before anyone picks up a camera. We bill for the drive. Lincoln sits in the middle of the state's population, so we reach most of Nebraska in a morning, and you get one crew that shoots both photo and video at lean-studio pricing.
We also know the state — harvest light in October, wind in April, how to shoot a working floor without stopping the line. Our flagship hospitality client, Capital Cigar Lounge in Lincoln, runs on our monthly content engine: in the most recent 90 days their Instagram pulled 89,740 views with top-post engagement up more than 4×. That's the bar every commercial project gets, whether it's in the Haymarket or in Holdrege. Read the case study.
