Your headshot is doing patient intake before you are

A new patient picks a provider from a grid of faces. Healthgrades, Zocdoc, the insurance directory, your practice's own team page — they see the photo before they hear your voice, read your credentials, or sit in your waiting room. A sharp, current, human photo says someone competent runs this place. A pixelated crop from a conference badge says the opposite, and it says it to every patient who searches your name.

That's the entire argument for doing this properly. Not vanity — conversion. Practices spend real money getting patients to the bio page and then lose them to a photo that looks like it was taken under a hallway fluorescent in 2011.

Who books this

Physicians, dentists, PAs, nurse practitioners, therapists and counselors, chiropractors, optometrists — and more often than any of them, the office manager who has been told to 'get everyone's photo updated' before the new website launches. If that's you: this page was written for you, and the short version is that we come to the clinic, we're fast, and nobody has to leave a patient waiting.

We shoot solo providers, small practices, and full rosters — from the clinic clusters along South 70th and Pioneers to dental offices out toward Old Cheney and practices a few blocks from our studio downtown. The setup is the same; only the schedule and the drive change.

How an on-site clinic headshot day works

We bring the studio to you: one backdrop, two lights, a footprint about the size of an exam table. A break room corner, an unused exam room, or a stretch of hallway is plenty. Setup takes about thirty minutes and we're shooting before the morning huddle is over.

Each provider needs 10-15 minutes in front of the camera. We work from a stagger sheet built around your patient schedule — providers rotate through between appointments or over the lunch block, and the clinic never stops seeing patients. Shots are reviewed on a monitor as we go, so everyone walks away knowing their photo worked instead of dreading the gallery email.

Matched headshots for teams that keep growing

Here's the problem nobody plans for: you photograph twelve providers this year, hire three next year, and suddenly the team page is two-thirds matched portraits and one-third whatever the new hires had on their phones. It looks exactly as stitched-together as it is.

We keep your setup on file — backdrop, lighting diagram, camera settings, crop, and grade. When a new physician or hygienist joins, they book a short session and their photo drops into the wall like it was shot the same morning as everyone else's. That consistency is most of what separates a practice that looks like an institution from one that looks like a group of people who happen to share a lobby.

Pricing, stated plainly

An individual headshot session is $200 — 30 minutes, 10 fully color-graded selects, same-week delivery. Team volume pricing kicks in fast: at 5 people it's $150 per person, at 10 it's $130, and past 20 providers it's $100 per person. Setup happens once no matter how many providers rotate through it, which is why the per-head rate keeps falling as the roster grows.

No sitting fees stacked on top, no per-photo ransom afterward. The honest answer on which option to pick: under 5 people, book individually; at 5 and up, the per-person tiers win, and they win harder the bigger the clinic. Tell us your headcount and location and we'll send an exact per-head quote within 24 hours — a real number, not a range.

In-studio downtown, if that’s easier

Some providers would rather not be photographed where they work — or the clinic simply has nowhere to put a backdrop. Our studio is at 1200 N Street in downtown Lincoln: controlled light, clean backgrounds, in and out in half an hour. It's also the natural home for one-off sessions — the new associate who missed clinic day, the resident updating a fellowship application, the practice owner who wants a more editorial portrait for a speaking bio.

What clients say

Nvar does incredible work. All the photos he's done for me have been amazingly high quality — he's very efficient and skilled. I cannot recommend Nvar enough. You will not be disappointed.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked

Should providers wear a white coat or business attire?
Bring both — most sessions shoot business attire first, then the coat over it, so you get two usable looks in the same sitting. Directory profiles tend to favor the approachable business look; hospital and health-system bio pages often want the coat. Having both means you never have to rebook.
Can staff be photographed in scrubs?
Yes. Clean, solid-color scrubs photograph well, and a team shot in matching scrubs reads as more genuine than forcing everyone into blazers they never wear. If your practice has brand colors, wear those.
What about glasses glare?
We handle it with lighting angles at the time of capture rather than trying to edit it out later — that's the difference between a headshot photographer and a person with a camera. If glare is stubborn, we shoot a few frames with and without so you can choose.
What is your retouching policy?
Color grading and light, natural skin retouching are included on every select. We remove the temporary stuff — a blemish, a stray hair — and leave the permanent you alone. Patients should recognize the person in the photo when they reach the front desk; a headshot that oversells is worse than one that undersells.
Will a shoot disrupt patients or violate privacy?
No. The setup occupies one out-of-the-way corner, providers rotate through in 10-15 minute slots built around the appointment schedule, and we never photograph patients, charts, screens, or any area where patient information is visible. We've built the workflow to be a non-event for everyone in the waiting room.
How fast do we get the photos?
Same week for most sessions, including full clinic days — fully color-graded selects delivered through a private gallery, sized for web, directories, and print signage. Hard deadline for a website launch? Say so at booking and we prioritize.
