What we know about shooting Country Pines

Country Pines is an 80-acre private venue 10 minutes from downtown Lincoln — wide open lawns, mature trees, classic Nebraska country wedding vibe with the benefit of proximity to downtown amenities. The scale of the property is the biggest photographic asset.

What we've learned shooting here:

- The west-facing tree line is your golden-hour backdrop. Plan portraits for 60 minutes before sunset for the best light. - The lawn slope from the ceremony area to the reception tent creates natural elevation for wide group photos and drone aerials. - Long shadows after 5 PM in summer can be dramatic OR problematic — we work with them intentionally rather than fighting them. - The barn structure handles indoor backup; the open-tent reception is where the magic happens when weather cooperates.

Ceremony, reception, and drone-friendly airspace

Most Country Pines weddings run outdoor ceremony, cocktail hour on the lawn, reception under tent or in the barn. The rural location (outside Lincoln's class D airspace) makes drone work simpler — no FAA authorization needed beyond standard Part 107 rules.

We routinely fly drone aerials of the ceremony, the reception tent at twilight, and a final couple-portrait sequence above the property. This is included in Heirloom and available as add-on otherwise.

Pricing for Country Pines weddings

Most Country Pines weddings fit Signature; multi-day couples who want a Friday rehearsal-dinner shoot on the property frequently upgrade to Heirloom. The 10-minute drive from our downtown studio means travel is included, and we're rarely the bottleneck on timing.
