Destination weddings are part of how NVAR Studios works — not an exception. We've structured the studio so a wedding in Charleston, Sedona, Montauk, Tulum, or Banff is handled with the same intention as one a mile from our Lincoln office. Same documentary style. Same cinematic delivery. Same 2-week turnaround.
How destination weddings are priced
Coverage starts at $1,800 — same as our local base rate. Travel is quoted separately and transparently: flights, lodging for the photographer (and second shooter if applicable), ground transportation, and any other actual costs. We don't mark up travel. You pay what we pay. Quote is provided in the consultation call, and we'll always offer the most economical option that doesn't compromise the shoot.
How we plan a destination wedding shoot
We arrive at least one day before the wedding so we can scout the venue, lock down the timeline with you and your planner, and adjust for any local conditions (golden hour direction, lighting, micro-climate). On the day, we work the same way we would at home — invisible until you need us, attentive throughout. After the wedding we stick around for any additional coverage (welcome dinner, brunch the next morning) you've scoped.
Where we shoot most
We've covered or are actively booking weddings across the Midwest (Chicago, Minneapolis, Des Moines, Kansas City, St. Louis), the West Coast (LA, Portland, San Francisco), the Southwest (Sedona, Tucson, Santa Fe), and the South (Nashville, Charleston, New Orleans). International destinations are handled case-by-case — we hold a passport and we're comfortable working anywhere visa rules allow.
